EU Alumni Initiative

EU ALUMNI is an European Union (EU) funded project aiming at engaging individual alumni from the EU’s different international mobility and exchange programmes. It aims at reinforcing EU’s capacity to sustain a long term meaningful engagement with individuals in third countries who have already benefited from other EU funded programmes and been in contact with the European Union at one point in their lives.

The programme was initiated in 2019 by the EU Foreign Policy Instrument (FPI) and is implemented by GIZ, the German International Development Cooperation Agency.

Kick-off events were organised in several partner countries of the EU, including China (Beijing), South Korea (Seoul), and Canada (Montreal). Alumni of the Global Cultural Leadership Programme (GCLP) of the Cultural Relations Platform, based in these countries, attended the events.

In the Summer 2021, an EU alumni platform will be launched, allowing EU alumni worldwide to connect, exchange, and collaborate. Stay tuned on their website!
