Izara García Rodríguez, GCLP 2017
Izara García Rodríguez was a participant in the 2017 edition of the Global Cultural Leadership Programme.
Izara García Rodríguez is the International Coordinator for Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts. She started working for Hay Festival in 2007, and has developed her professional career within the organisation. Izara coordinates three international festivals in Latin America (Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias in Colombia, Hay Festival Querétaro in Mexico and Hay Festival Arequipa in Peru) and runs one-off projects such as Bogotá39 2017 or Mexico20. Izara holds a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and a Master of Arts in contemporary art theory from Goldsmiths, University of London (UK).
