Rita Rebelo de Andrade

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Rita is a visual and multimedia artist, graduated in Communication Design at Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and has a Master’s in Scenic Arts from Nova University of Lisbon. Studied Multimedia Art at the Academy of Arts and Design in Ljubljana – Slovenia – and lived in London where dedicated herself mostly to jazz and painting. In 2016 Rita was invited by Vhils to start a new project — the Festival Iminente, and then worked at Underdogs Gallery, Vhils Studio and later created the Cultural Centre called Brotéria in Lisbon. Rita is currently living in Paris to continue her artistic practice. Her practice is based on continued collaborations with local and international artists in a multidisciplinary artistic practice.
