Abdul Mufeez Shaheed

Abdul Mufeez Shaheed was born and raised in the small town of Ba in Fiji from the South Pacific. Abdul consults with regional and international organizations on climate change, gender, SDGs and human rights among other development interests of the Pacific. He has previously been the Head of Programmes for the Rainbow Pride Foundation looking after programmes on LGBTIQA+ rights in Fiji. He currently advises the Disability Pride Hub – an organization for Persons with Disabilities of diverse SOGIESC and Co-Lead Oceania Pride. Abdul got his Bachelor of Public Health from the Fiji National University. He is currently enrolled as a Master in Human Rights and Democratization at Mahidol University in Thailand and the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka.
