Meriç Kessaf

Meriç Kessaf is born and raised in Amsterdam and has Turkish roots. Her interest stretches from rocks and arts to buildings. With a background in earth sciences and arts, she is pursuing a master’s in architecture at the TU Delft. With a passion for humanitarian architecture, Meriç Kessaf co-founded START, the Syrian Turkish Architectural Recovery Team. With this team, she develops and realizes earthquake-resilient, modular, and circular housing for citizens impacted by the earthquakes from early February this year. Meriç envisions a future where her diverse interests converge, whether in creative realms or addressing the housing problems and environmental challenges.
