Clarity Ropafadzo Mapengo

Clarity is a lecturer at Teesside University (United Kingdom) and is committed towards working on applied scientific research championing climate-resilient food systems. She holds a PhD in Food Science. She co-founded a start-up that aimed at converting fresh produce waste into sustainable packaging material in South Africa. She has served as a member of the World Food Forum Young Scientists Group. With her entrepreneurial, divergent mindset, she continues to leverage food science, consumer behaviour, and material science in promoting sustainability. She has been affiliated with organisations such as UN-SDSN Youth & UNLEASH Innovation Lab in efforts to champion this cause.
