Based in Washington, D.C., Tomoko Nakamura has a background in public policy, intellectual and cultural program management, and grant management. In her position at the Embassy of Japan in the United States of America, she supervises cultural and academic exchange programs between Japan and the U.S. as well as organizing focus programs and discussion roundtables on topics of mutual interest with local counterparts, including thinks tanks and foundations. Prior to her current position, Tomoko managed the Japan Foundation’s Manila office as Assistant Director in charge of arts and cultural programming, human resources, and planning.
