Nino Gvasalia comes from Poti, a seaside town in Georgia. After finishing her studies at the Free University of Tbilisi, faculty of Governance and Social Sciences, she has taken an unpopular decision to return to her hometown. Since 2019, she has been the counselor to the Mayor of Poti. During these 3 years, she has been the director of EU-funded Projects and implemented several innovative programs to support CSO, NGO and Culture spheres of her town. She is the director of the project Creation of Poti City Culture Development Strategy, which is funded within European Union’s project EU4Culture. At this moment, she is working on finding new opportunities to support CCI and Creative Economy of Poti. Parallelly, she is finishing her masters at GIPA (Georgian Institute of Public Affairs), the faculty of Local Self-Governance.
