Ama Ofeibea Amponsah, GCRP 2022

Ama is a Designer and Researcher specializing in the Creative and Cultural Industries. With a background in Graphics, Communications, Research and academic qualifications from Central St. Martins, Goldsmiths College and SOAS; her career portfolio is fueled by a passion to harness The Arts and Creative Sector to drive socio-economic development in Africa. Most recently, Ama was Programme Manager for Arts at the British Council in Accra where she co-led the delivery of the regional strategy in West Africa, contributing to the corporate cultural relations objectives through Arts programming. Ama is currently consulting at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos where she is Programme Lead for Asiko Art School, the foremost innovative alternative educational space for African Artists and Curators.
