Unathi Lutshaba is a creative economy expert at the South African Cultural Observatory (SACO), a cultural and creative industries research project which charts the socio-economic impact of the arts, culture and heritage sectors and the cultural and creative industries in South Africa. Lutshaba’s research interests include commerce and industry; the nature of work in the creative economy; cultural policy; and cultural leadership. She is passionate about the development of young people, issues of transformation, development of young researchers in the arts and culture industry, and development history.
