Silvia Hristova, GCRP 2021

Silvia Hristova was born in Varna, Bulgaria and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey, where she finished her secondary education at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation. Then she moved to the Netherlands to conduct her studies (BA, Arts & Culture). Eventually Silvia decided to go back to her hometown and started working as a ballet dancer at the Opera House there, while studying for a master’s degree in Ballet Directing. Soon after that she co-established Varna Dance Theatre – an organization in the field of contemporary dance. Since then she has been putting her efforts into developing the local arts scene, using her international background.
