Working in Fragile Contexts

In November 2019, EUNIC held a Knowledge Sharing Workshop in Nicosia, discussing the challenges of working in fragile contexts with experts from EU Delegations, cultural institutes, and universities. This report presents the results of the workshop, illustrated with 9 case studies covering Afghanistan, Colombia, Iraq, Libya, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Turkey, Mali, Syria, and Yemen.

The report concludes with recommendations to EU institutions, EU Delegations, EUNIC Global and EUNIC members, advising on how to overcome these challenges in order to strengthen European cultural cooperation in fragile countries.
