How do the British Council’s cultural and educational programmes contribute to implementing the SDGs?

In this study, published in 2018, the British Council is interested in understanding how its work contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Particularly, this paper looks at how the British Council’s projects and activities align with SDG 16, which targets to “develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels” as well as “ensures responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels”.

The British Council is due to report on its progress in implementing the SDGs in a series of reports in 2019.
