Ségolène Pruvot

Ségolène Pruvot is a Cultural Director of European Alternatives (www.euroalter.com) and has been coordinating TRANSEUROPA Festival, which next edition takes place on 7-10 November 2019 in Palermo (www.transeuropafestival.eu). She believes that the future of Europe can only be built in one integrates cultural and artistic perspectives. Ségolène was trained as a political scientist and urban planner in France, the UK and Germany. She has developed an extensive experience in designing and implementing transnational cultural programmes. Ségolène is interested in thematics such as democracy, equality, feminism, migrants & minority rights. She is also passionate about the city, public space and the urban environment and is currently a PhD-candidate in urban sociology at University of Milano Bicocca working on ‘how arts can help building a (more) just city’, exploring the domain of participative theatre in an area North of Paris. Ségolène was a contributor to the book ‘The Right to Truth’ on Feminist Arts and Social Change, published by Visual Research and Culture Centre in Kiev.
