Iraís Avilés García

Iraís Avilés García is an internationalist with over 12 years of experience in the cultural sector, working mainly on policy-making, international cultural cooperation and cultural heritage, as well as cultural diplomacy. At present, she is head of Multilateral Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Culture of Mexico and has also served as a Liaison of International Cooperation at the Mexican National Institute of Fine Arts. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and a Diploma in Public International Law, and she is currently working on her Master’s degree in Cultural. She is interested in working on cultural issues and topics of international relevance to have a positive impact in the world through the culture. Management and Sustainable Development. In recent years, she has participated in relevant international programmes such as Program “Séjour Culture 2019” organized by the French Ministry of Culture; 3rd “Global Cultural Leadership Programme” (2018) funded by the European Union; “Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program 2017” by the OCP Policy Center in Morocco, and “International Visitors’ Programme” (2016) from the Dutch Culture|Centre for International Cooperation in The Netherlands.
