Anastasia Skvortsova is an independent curator and art manager. She graduated from the Department of Theory and History of Art of State Academy Institute (St. Petersburg, 2010) and received her Master’s degree in Curatorial Studies from the St. Petersburg State University (2014), is a laureate of the EUNIC contest for young curators (2013). Her work experience spans from running a self-organized independent space (Nepokorennie open studio) to production management in established institutions (Moscow Biennale for Contemporary art, Moscow Museum of Modern Art). She focuses on multidisciplinary art, research based projects and experiments on formats of artistic expression. Anastasia is working as a curator for «Art Prospect» International public art festival organized by CEC Arts Link, witch invites artists to create site responsive works of public art that encourage civil activity of local communities. Anastasia considers curatorial practice as a tool for thinking contemporary society through artistic practices.
