Anastasia Skvortsova

Anastasia Skvortsova is an independent curator, educator and researcher based in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a Head of Research & Public Programs of the Contemporary Art Triennale in the Eastern Balkans. From 2019-2022 Skvortsova designed and implemented educational programs for The Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg) accompanying temporary exhibitions and showcases of the permanent collection, including art mediations and performances. She received her MA in curatorial studies from St. Petersburg State University, Liberal Arts and Sciences Faculty (collaboration with Bard College, NY) in 2014. Her work experience spans from running an independent art space Nepokorennie studio (2011-2016) to leading the management team at institutions like Moscow Biennale of contemporary art (2015), Anna Nova gallery’s contest (2021-2021) and others.

Selected curatorial projects include Nepokorennie Prospect, Moscow Museum of contemporary Art (2017); Family at POPPOSITIONS, Brussels (2018); The Goods of Time, Sofia (2019); Neofantilism, Name gallery, St. Petersburg (2020); Errring Office, Moscow (2021). Skvortsova was co-curator of Art Prospect International Public Art Festival organized by CEC Arts Link (2016-2021), which encourages civil activity among local communities through art.
