“Old friends, new challenges. Building a reinvigorated partnership”
From 26 to 28 February 2018, in Brussels, the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are coming together to discuss common challenges.
The EU and ASEAN appear to be two of the most achieved examples of union among States, promoting international cooperation under the scope of common values. EU-ASEAN relations can be traced back to 1972, when the EU and ASEAN have started recognising a shared commitment to regional integration as a means of fostering regional stability, building prosperity and addressing global issues.
Young professionals and experts are expected to meet, reflect and confront ideas and perspectives through people-to-people contacts to better understand their current challenges.
