Denmark: International Cultural Strategy

Set up in 2010, the International Cultural Panel is a binding, multi-ministry forum established to promote cultural exchanges between Denmark and the rest of the world. The purpose of the panel is to bring together an array of prominent cultural institutions in order to strengthen the cultural exchange and give it a shared focus.

Recently, the International Cultural Panel has published Denmark’s strategy for its external cultural relations for 2017-2020. Four main objectives illustrate this strategy:

  1. To develop and renew Danish art and culture
  2. To market Denmark as a nation
  3. To promote cultural exports
  4. To promote intercultural dialogue.
