Ana Lozano, GCLP 2017

Ana Lozano was a participant in the 2017 edition of the Global Cultural Leadership Programme.

Ana is a Mexican-Canadian art historian and cultural manager based in Mexico City. With a deep interest in fostering multicultural understanding through the arts, she founded and directs Art Stories, a cultural organization that offers art appreciation courses, cultural events, and special guided visits to museums and heritage sites, both for foreign visitors and locals. Prior to Art Stories, she collaborated with museums, art galleries and cultural institutions in Canada, Spain and Mexico, including Mexico’s Ministry of Culture as a deputy director, Mayberry Fine Art, in Toronto, and the Centre d’histoire de Montréal. Ana is a published author and has lectured at academic institutions such as the Université du Québec à Montréal and York University, in Canada, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has a master’s degree in cultural communication from the University of Barcelona, and is a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs – Ontario.
