Suman Das, GCLP 2016
Suman Das was a participant of the 1st Edition of the Global Cultural Leadership Programme.
Suman Das, GCLP 2016, is a theatre artist, an actor and a cultural manager responsible for artist management, program management, conducting workshops and communication, multi-cultural and cross media collaboration as well as technical aspects like sound, light, set and venue design. He has a Master (Post Graduate) in Theatre Direction from Rabindra Bharati University at Kolkata in India. He has been an active Theatre artist since 1994. He specialized in design and technical aspects of theatre. He joined the creative group at banglanatak.com in 2008. Presently working as a freelance artist. He worked in 24 states of India for skill empowerment of children, youth and women belonging to marginalised and excluded communities using Theatre in Development methodology. He trained youth, women’s, Indigenous People and theatre groups across India in social and behaviour change communication using theatre as a tool. He had participated in multicultural exchange programme, innovation workshops and festivals at India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Philippines, UK, France, Tunisia, Malta, Thailand, Switzerland, USA etc.

Experienced mentor, selected participants from different parts of the world, pleasing venue and a warm hospitality made the GCLP’s 1st edition a grand success.”
In order to introduce themselves and their organisations, the participants prepared a poster presenting 4 elements – Me, My organisation, My Project and My Dream.
